Heather Abreu

This is Heather Abreu’s debut with Arts in the Open, and first Colorado production! Starting at the young age of five, Heather has been singing, dancing and acting her way into our hearts in Los Angeles CA. Heather has been in arts education and productions for 15 years and would like to thank her two little piglets for keeping her young at heart.

Heather currently teaches visual arts at COLFAX elementary in Denver public schools. Past productions include Blood Brothers, Rumors, Marisol, Bones Radio Show, and A Laundry List of Shakespeare.

Deidre Knight

Eastwood

Deidre has been in the theatre world since age 5. She has performed in over 30 plays and musicals. Included are the following roles in children's plays: Buffalo Bill in Buffalo Bill and Other Tall Tales, Dopey in Snow White, Smee in Peter Pan, The Pea in Princess and the Pea, and Magenta in Blues Clues. She wrote and starred in a comedic One Act, Family Dinner, in 2008. She took a break from theatre for the past 9 years but is very excited to return by working with Arts in the Open for the first time.

Patti Murtha

Big Bad Wolf

Patti is fur sure thrilled to be huffin' and puffin' up the trail once more as part of this pack. Previous shows as an actor with Arts in the Open include Sleepy Hollow, Alice in Wonderland, and 10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse. As a playwright her shows include this season's The Frog Princess (also Director), Cinderella and Her Barely Godmother (also Director), Irish Tales Along the Trails, The Oddest Sea, Goldilocks, and Little Red (also Director). She loves this paw-some company and ulti-mutt-ly considers work with them a howl-iday. Awoooooo!.

Brittany Pollard

Dr. Lancaster/Dolos

Brittany is very excited to be doing another show with Arts in the Open! She just finished playing Lily in The Frog Princess in June with Arts in the Open, and is so glad to continue working with such an incredible company. She graduated from Adams State University in 2018 and is very glad to see theatre getting back on its feet! She is no stranger to outdoor shows; last summer she played Huck in Campfire Theatre's production of An American Night's Dream. When she's not acting, she's working, writing, or hanging out at home with her orange tabby cat, Arthur. Brittany looks forward to seeing everyone on the trail!

Quentin Toetz

This is Quentin Toetz’s second time performing with the Arts in the Open and he is excited to be a part of the cast of The Three Little Pigs. Quentin is a Denver based actor who moved here from Indiana in 2017. He specializes in improv work and works with hospitals and police as a crisis actor. He has also been in a number of small film projects both on camera and as a voice over talent. When he is not performing, Quentin enjoys playing all kinds of games; including video games, board games, tabletop games, and card games.

Mary Schaugh

Director

Mary Schaugh has directed and performed theatre, musical theatre, opera, film, and television throughout the U.S. and abroad. She is so excited to be returning to the trail with Arts in the Open 10 years after her original debut, and returning to live theatre after the world went bananas! Over the last 15 years, Mary has directed throughout Los Angeles, Colorado, and New York, at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, multiple sold out premieres, and hundreds of Murder Mystery shows. Mary strives to bring out the best in every production from start to finish and hopes you enjoy this magical cast! Thank you for joining us and thank you for supporting live theatre!

Maggie Schneider

Stage Manager

Maggie is very excited to be working on the Three Little Pigs vs The Apocalypse for their first show with Arts in the Open. The world may still be going bananas, but regardless of any apocalypse, they are happy to be doing theater in beautiful Boulder, a stone's throw from where they will be attending college this fall. They would like to thank the wonderful cast and crew of Pigs for making this show as hamtastic as possible.

Rebecca Aviña

Costume/Props Designer

This is Rebecca’s fifteenth production with Arts in the Open, having also designed the costumes for The Frog Princess, Dracula: the Death of Nosferatu, The Oddest Sea, The Treasures of Toothless Jack, Little Red and Her Feisty Friends and Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. She’s looking forward to her sixteenth show with Arts in the Open, Frankenstein in the Fall.
