Justin Davis
Van Helsing
Justin is the coordinator for the creative arts in Westminster Public Schools and is thrilled to be a part of this production! Previous roles include Scrooge at the PACE center, Tom in BETC's The Glass Menagerie, Professor Porter in Tarzan: The Musical, and Jesus in Godspell. He has done varying voice over and radio work and once led a cast of performing gunfighters near The Royal Gorge every summer. He loves horror and appreciates Dracula as one of his formative literary experiences - he is grateful for the talented cast, crew, director, and his family for their constant support.
Cody Clayton Gardner
Jonathan Harker
Cody is thrilled to join Arts in the Open to tell one of the fantasy horror stories he loves so much! Cody hails from Thornton, Colorado, and is proud to perform in his first professional production. In addition to multiple short film roles in the Denver area, Cody’s other credits include Washington University in St Louis’ Beauty and the Beast (Le Fou) and Legally Blonde (Warner). In addition to acting, Dr. Cody is a Physical Therapist specializing in the performing arts (including The Lion King, Rafiki Tour) and a guest instructor at Denver School of the Arts.
Tess James

Tess graduated from Colorado Mesa University last May. This will be their first professional production. Notable previous credits include Tilly Evans in CMU's virtual production of She Kills Monsters and Martin in Fool for Love.
Joey Laughlin

Joey Laughlin is a local Denver actor. He has a degree in acting and directing from Colorado Mesa University and has performed in several shows in the Denver area, including 5280 Artist Co-op’s 1 Night 6 Plays and Audacious Theatre’s yearly Drunk Christmas Carol.
Michelle Schovaers Wagley

Michelle is thrilled to be performing in her Colorado debut! She graduated from BYU with a BA in Theatre Studies. Other acting credits include: Mrs. Shin in Good Person of Szechwan (Japan); Corrie Brater in Barefoot in the Park (Texas); Sister James in Doubt (Texas); Rebecca Hilliker/Ensemble in The Laramie Project (Texas); Don Pedro in Much Ado About Nothing (Texas); Sermon Head in Bed (England); Jo March in Little Women (Utah). She would like to thank Arts in the Open for this opportunity, the cast/crew for their friendship, and especially her husband Steven for becoming a theatre widow... again.
David Wood
Dracula
David brings to the stage years of experience as an improviser, standup comedian, professional entertainer (singing and guitar), and motivational speaker. He is new to Colorado, and a new cast member of Red Thread Playback Theatre. David is thrilled to be making his acting debut with Arts in the Open with such a friendly, fun cast.
Lauren Michelle Long
Stage Manager/Snelling/Bat
Lauren Michelle Long is back with Arts in the Open, this time she is working behind the scenes in her first debut as a stage manager. She has been seen as an actor with the company in Ghosted, Cinderella and her Barely Godmother and Invaders from Planet 9. Residing in Denver, she is a working actor, voice actor, media artist and a teaching artist with Play On executive arts and Miners Alley’s Playhouse.
Rebecca Aviña
Costume/Props Designer
Rebecca is honored to be involved in Dracula: The Death of Nosferatu, her tenth production with Arts in the Open, having also designed the costumes for The Oddest Sea, The Treasures of Toothless Jack, Little Red and Her Feisty Friends and Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. A Graphic Designer by trade, Rebecca's interests include fashion, collecting local art and Korean pop music.
Matthew Davis
Director/Artistic Director
Since moving back to Denver, he has directed and choreographed for theaters in the area. He has been privileged to perform with The National Theater for Children, touring schools with educational theater productions and continues to perform in Denver and the surrounding areas. He has had the pleasure of working as the Artistic Director with Arts in the Open for the past 10 years. He would like to thank the cast and crew for making this show a wonderful experience. The Theater is the LIFE…as the scripture says.
